Of course, there are many valuable works on this subject written by esteemed researchers. However, Mr. Demir Erman, first with his works titled "The Turkish War Medal" and then "Ottoman Turkish War Medals and Orders", has written in a style that will provide all kinds of technical information needed by people who look at medals and orders from the collector's point of view and operate in areas of interest and work such as collectors, museums, historians, antique dealers and auctioneers, and actually ensure the survival and transfer of medals and orders to the next generations. The book titled "Ottoman-Turkish War Medals and Insignia 1801-1923", which was prepared after years of meticulous work, contains all kinds of information and visuals about the form of medals and insignia, their measurements, the metal they are produced from, the ribbons and sashes, their seniority to each other and the methods of wearing them on uniforms according to this seniority.
